Privacy

Privacy settings should be easy to understand and easy to change.

This page explains how account, ticketing, venue, and community settings work across the platform.

Shared account data

Your sign-in details, sessions, consent choices, and verification live in your account. Product-specific privacy settings stay in the product where they matter.

Support and accessibility

When you ask for support, we explain what will be shared, who will see it, and how you can change it later.

Folkli visibility

Folkli lets you choose what is public, what is only used to improve recommendations, and what stays private.

Important updates

Access, safety, and booking updates may take priority over lower-priority notifications. When that happens, we make it clear why.

Messaging policy

Messaging privacy policy

When you use messaging features, we process personal data relating to conversations, attachments, activity, and related support or moderation operations.

Categories of data

  • message and attachment content
  • timestamps, participant IDs, and delivery or read state
  • linked context objects

Purposes

  • service delivery and user coordination
  • support and dispute resolution
  • abuse, fraud, and security detection or enforcement

Access, retention, and rights

Automated systems can support scanning, triage, summaries, suggestions, and risk flagging. Significant enforcement actions are reviewed by humans where appropriate.

Conversation content is participant-visible by default. Exceptional staff access is limited, purpose-bound, and audited.

Retention varies by category and purpose. User delete actions may remove UI visibility without immediate full record erasure when safety, dispute, fraud, or legal exception bases apply.

Subject to applicable law, people may have rights to access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
